PROTECTAB MB-1

PROTECTAB MB-1 is a complete film coating premix based on a judicial mixture of Ethyl cellulose and Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose. PROTECTAB MB-1 is to be reconstituted in Iso proply alcohol and methylene chloride.

STABILITY:

PROTECTAB MB-1 series has been developed painstakingly in our R&D to give you good physical and chemical stability throughout the life of your Product. Compared to conventional film coatings PROTECTAB MB-1 shows increased resistance to water vapour transmission due to judicial combination of Ethyl cellulose and Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose with suitable plasticizers in the formulation.

EASY TO RECONSTITUTE:

PROTECTAB MB-1 can be reconstituted easily. Low foam formation avoids loss of material and increases handling convenience.

EXTREMELY EASY TO USE:

Sticking and peeling off have been almost eliminated. Efficient formulation of PROTECTAB MB-1 ensures quick drying and excellent adhesion to core tablets. Good colour holding property of the formulation reduces mottling. Also the coating solution viscosity is set so as to give a relatively stable suspension throughout the coating process, at the same time ensuring easy redispersion of the sedimented particles.

Where PROTECTAB MB-1 can be used?

PROTECTAB MB-1 is based on a judicial mixture of Ethyl Cellulose and HPMC as the basic film former. PROTECTAB MB-1 gives a permeable film in the entire pH range of the gastro Intestinal tract.

PROTECTAB MB-1 is recommended in the following cases.

In products that are hygroscopic and increased resistance to atmospheric moisture is desired.

As a seal coat before applying additional film coating by organic solvent method or aqueous method.
